I think this might fall under the heading of an OBE.

One night, about a year ago, I had this amazing/terrifying dream. In the dream, I was standing in the bathroom of my apartment with two people that [while friends] I did not know very well. I was telling them that I had an ability to perform telekinesis. To prove it, I stretched my hands out towards my sink and whispered "On!" The faucet instantly began streaming water. The three of us laughed, and then I said "off!", and the water shut off.

One of my friends said "Try again!" The faucet opened again, but this time, i couldn't turn it off. From here, the dream went out of control. Pipes began bursting in the walls, water was everywhere, I was drenched. In the dream, I started running around the apartment trying to get out. The doors started slamming shut and locking. I ran to the front door, and started screaming b/c it would not open. I was banging on it, and just before I woke up, I shouted the name of a guy I was seeing [at the time], screaming for him to help me. Then I was sitting up in bed, awake, with my arms stretched in front of me like I had been banging on the door. It was 8am.

That afternoon, I met up with this particular guy, and told him about my dream. He went very still and said "that's really weird, I woke up this morning at about 8, b/c some one was banging on my front door. I immediately ran to and opened the door, but no one was there."

I hadn't told him the time that I woke up. Very interesting.
