This happened when I was in the 5th grade. In was late on a summer morning, approximately at 9:30 a.m.:--

I was coming back from a city, and I was up in the corner of a room. I saw a person down in the room lying on a bed. I thought I would go closer to take a look. I was really surprised that the person lying on the bed was me! I thought: "I had better get back into my body!" My body was lying face down on the bed. I laid down in the air approximately 6 inches over my body, but on my back. Then suddenly--wham!--I was back in by body, and turned face down. I did not lose consciousness during all of this. After I was back in my body, I could not move a single muscle for about 20 minutes. It was like rigor mortis had set in.

I could not remember anything about the city where I had been; except that I knew that I was "flying" there. Maybe I died, and then came back???

The result of the experience was that I have since known that consciousness exists apart from our physical bodies.
