Overdose and the Angel
From: Anonymous Story type: NDE Location: Inside a cabin at a deserts edge Source: Form Submission
I was taken to a remote cabin, nestled on the edge of a high plain desert, and far from any town.We had been dating only a few weeks.I was very young and much in awe of this older mans streetwise manner and exhorbanent cash flow.
At the table he dumped out a large pile of cocaine.I didn't refuse.I imagined that I was living some sort of rock and roll fantasy. I' was living the high life, straight up, with the coolest of underground hipsters,I was in! ( Yeah,right....)We snorted it all.I had never done it before, had no idea where it would lead me,where I was going with it."Just do more"laughing along the way,and I did till it was finished.
Not too long after it was gone I became very hot and went upstairs to rinse off my face in the bathroom.I became very dizzy. As I looked up I noticed a large winged angel, immersed in white light, fluttering above me and I screamed.I was hallucinating!
My date screamed back at me from downstairs. He ordered me not to scream so loud, to come back down stairs...NOW!..
I stumbled down the stairs and while doing so I noticed the barren desert and the setting sun just outside the large sliding glass doors. Some faint purple mountains scattered against the horizon.
Then I fell to the ground and said to him "I'm going now" I felt my body being pulled from its casing. My heart had stopped and I began to feel very light.I was no longer connected to my body.A brilliant light appeared in the distance and it was only natural that I follow this light through a long and narrow tunnel. There must have been a feather tickling my soul as I wanted to laugh with joy as I never had.So free and weightless!
The light grew brighter as I began to drift towards it.The simplest of all things became truth. I marveled at the drama humans create for themselves in everyday life. An unfortunate waist.I felt a peace I had never felt.I did not want to return to my body. However, something intervened and began to pull me away from the light. This was not to be my end.
Chaos ensued as i forced my way back into my body.Whirling sounds engufed me.iI felt the intense pain and pressure of life as I fell back into my body.My heart began to beat.I felt my feet dragging along the floor.A sweaty, spiritually void older man was dragging me back and forth across the room.I could see the rising sun peeking up over the distant mountains through the large sliding glass doors.I felt my chest being pounded with a fist. His words while doing this were"She can't die!i'm already in enough trouble as it is ! i'm going to have to bury her in the desert!"No,that was not my end.
Truth, wisdom, and a connection to all living things,at one with a devine God....that is my life
