Tap-tap

When I was little, i used to visit my grandma. They lived in a fairly new ,regular apartment building, the kind you would normally see in a big town. The building was solid concrete, and anything unusual (save for some urban tales made up mostly by local kids) rarely happened there. But I recall a few times, oof strange things that happened to me back then. Ill tell you of one, now that Im older, and before I forge. It did not really scare me all that much when I was a child, just thought it was odd.
When I was alone in the apartment, and in the living room (they lived on 5th floor), in the middle of the day I would hear this strange slight sound. It was barely noticable, but I usually was quite when home alone, and noticed it. It sounded odd, I could never place it, and Im very sensitive to sounds in the house (I stayed home alone quite a lot, so I was used to be watchful of odd noises). It sounded dry, sort of like tapping on paper, and for some reason I could never find out where it came from or what made that sound. Never at night, just during the day. And always when I was alone.
Well, one day I was playing with a friend, I beelive throwing couch cushions around at each other, one of the cushions fell awkwardly and messed up the picture grandma had, sort of a matte photograph of a tundra landscape, nothing special. I got up on the couch to fix it, it was crooked- and found out where the sound was coming from- the sound was somebody lightly tapping or rapping the surface of the picture. Twice, tap-tap.
It gave me a shiver, but I forgot about it after, and dont remember if i ever heard it again, i think I did.
I thought it was odd. Not malicious, just...strange. As if it was trying to get my attention.
