Stall #1

i just recently moved to oklahoma city from new york to be
with my parents. they are truck drivers and when they go on
the road i usually stay home by myself. but this time i had
this urge to go with them. we stopped at a rest area one night
in illinois. i believe the town that we were near was alton
one of the most haunted small towns in america. gee what a
coincidence. so of course i'm really fascinated by the
paranormal and just to be near the town got me really excited.
now i was riding up front with my dad while my mom was asleep
in the back. we had to walk the dog and go to the bathrooms
ourselves so we stopped in a rest area. there were many people
there. we decided to leave mom asleep and just go. now our
method for going to the bathroom is normal but it's also for
safety reasons. you never know who you'll run into let's put
it that way. boy was i right about that that night. we took
tasha (our black female pom) for a walk. i walked her first
while my dad went to the bathroom and then he came out took
the dog and i went to the bathroom. now i usually have him
stand outside right by the entrance as safety precautions
because anything can happen. so he was standing there and i
went in. the first stall was open so i took it. that is also
a safety precaution. that way if someone does enter they have
to walk past you and you know somebody is there with you. now
the main door made a really loud creak as i went in so more
than likely i would hear someone else come in. so i got done
and opened the stall door. i freaked because there was a
woman there staring at me with a blank expression on her face.
i told her i was sorry and that she had startled me because i
didn't know she was in there. i washed my hands and still she
said nothing. then i left and my dad was right outside and i
said did you see anybody go in there? and he replied no you
were the only one in there. and i said oh no i wasn't. so i
told him the story and he stood there with me for twenty minutes
to see if anyone came out and nobody ever did. so we went in
right before we left and there was nobody there. the best
explanation i could come up with was that someone was killed
in the rest area and they just reach out to certain people
i guess looking for help. but from now on i just wake my mom
up and we go to the bathroom together whether she has to go
or not. i never go to the bathroom alone. but if you ever pass
by the rest area on I-80 through alton, ill. and you have to go
remember enter at your own risk. the next rest area is only
40 miles down the road. pray you can hold it.
