Out of Sight, But Not Out of Mind
From: Raven (Rockerchic8816@aol.com) Story type: Ghost Location: Florida Source: Form Submission
I am a 13-year-old girl from portsmouth, VA. I moved to Florida with my parents when I was 12. When I lived in Florida, some strange things happened to me, and I am going to tell ya about one of them. I've changed all the names of the ppl in this story except for mine, since I didn't get any permission to put up their real names. Enjoy! :) ***
One day I was over at my friend, *Carrie's house swimming in her pool. She was telling me about this creepy little girl named *Brianna that lived next door. I didn't really think much of it, until she came over.
Brianna walked in the gate, because she wanted to come hang out with us. She was standing beside the pool. Brianna was immensly annoying to Carrie, but Carrie put up with her.
Now, Brianna was only about five or six, so what happened next scared the you-know-what out of Carrie and me.
Like I said, Brianna was standing at the side of the pool. Carrie and me were just sitting there talking to her, and all of a sudden she looked to her left, and started talking. We asked her who she was talking to, and she said it was her friend "Sabrina".
Carrie and me only saw her standing there talking to thin air, so we thought it was just a childish little game. An imaginary friend, maybe. But then we realized that we couldn't be more wrong.
Brianna pointed to Carrie's tire swing, and said, "Sabrina wants to swing." When she said that, the swing started to sway back and forth. Then Brianna said that Sabrina wanted to swim. The water started to ripple in the exact spot that Brianna had pointed to.
Carrie and I looked at each other, our mouths hanging open in disbelief. We tore out of the pool, and ran to the front door of Carrie's house. While Carrie was scrambling to find the key, and I was screaming, "Hurry, Carrie! Hurry! I don't believe this!", Brianna followed us up to the door.
She told us the Sabrina tried to help her, but hurt her. She also told us that Sabrina made her do things. Carrie and I ran inside the house, and locked all the doors and windows.
I was petrified to leave the house. After we had calmed down a bit, Carrie walked me home. My dad got a new job in another state shortly after that. I still talk to Carrie through IMs sometimes, and from what she says, Brianna still goes on about Sabrina. ***
I don't know what happened that day, but I would love to find out. If anyone has any clue at all, E-mail me at Rockerchic8816@aol.com. I hope you've enjoyed my story.
