Knocking

I had recently had an experience that convinced me that spirits/ghosts do exist. Last night I was sitting in the kitchen with my friend. We heard the knob turn on the basement door, that was locked, and then we heard a faint knocking. I didn't think anything of it the first time and walked to the door and was going to check the basement and I heard the knock as soon as I approached close to the door. I screamed and ran. I terrified my poor 7 year old daughter! I was sincerely petrified.

I shut off the air conditioner, fans, tv, shut all doors/windows to make sure it wasn't something blowing the door although the wind wouldn't "knock" or turn the door knob.

We would hear the knocking 4-5 times and then it would go away for around 15 minutes. Then we would hear the door knob turn and the knocking again.

We were able to talk and it would make sure we heard it. I had such a hard time sleeping. I had felt "paranormal" things before in our home, it is an older home, but this one I am positive was real. The others could have been the wind, etc..
