Haunted Halls of Residence

While at university in the mid-90's i spent the first two years of my degree living in the universities halls of residence, firstly as a fresher and then as one of the student wardens. The hall itself was a block of flats in the middle of a residential area with 4 four separate flats on each floor. In both years there i was next to a flat which had various weird happenings associated with it.

During my first year there the three girls (also first year students) all moved out suddenly, apparently they had been seeing and hearing weird things for most of the time there, culminating in one seeing a man walk through the door when in the bathroom. It ended there for a while, but during the next year some more weird events happened.

As warden of the halls i dealt with late night parties, and the usual mischief caused by students. The people in the flat next door were all final year students, as were the residents of the other two flats (i stayed with some students who were also second years). The people in the other flats were all friends from the same course and occasionally had small parties/late night sessions which i would often visit as a friend or to tell them to quiet down a bit (not too often though).

During the year i noticed that they never used the flat next door for parties, which i thought was due to my presence as a warden, however, at the end of the year when they started moving out the remaining ones moved from that flat into the rooms opposite. I asked them why and they said that it never felt comfortable in the flat for some reason. They hadn't seen anything odd and i hadn't told them about the people staying there until then, the only thing was that items kept being disturbed around the bathroom area (for example, Shampoo being spilt when no-one was around and toothbrushes disappearing) and that they felt they were being watched in that area.
