Since the day i was born, i had a black male cat called pepsi! As i grew up we got closer and closer and he used to follow me everywhere and even walked halfway up the road to meet me and walk me home from school (strange but true)! He always had a bit of a bad leg, when he walked it used to click, click ,click! He reached the age of 13 until he had a liver failure and lost all his strength and collapsed! me and my mum didnt really notice until we saw him on the floor! my mum told me to get my dad quickly because she knew what had happened, but i just stood there shaking and crying! he was still half alive but he was dying in front of my eyes! my mum explained to me that she was gonna have to take him to the vet to have him put to sleep! i knelt down beside him and stroked his head, he looked up at me and you could hear his breathing slowing down, i burst into tears as he closed his eyes! my mum took him to the vets! (im actually in tears now) i placed his photos all around my house for his rememberance! a few weeks later i went to bed normally! my mum was still downstairs watchin tv! i fell asleep but then i was awoken again by click, click, click! and i felt something jump onto my chest, i could feel the pressure! i had completely forgot that pepsi wasnt alive anymore but i still reacted in the same way as i would of usually done! i stroked him gently on his head and i could hear him purring! i had still had my other cat (petal) when pepsi died, and petal was put out that night! anyway, whilst i was cuddling pepsi i remembered that he should be outside not inside, so i picked him up and put him outside my bedroom door, he looked up a me and i clearly remember saying to him, ill see you in the morning pepsi! i called my mum and went back to bed! when my mum came upstairs she came into my bedroom and said "why did u call me?" i said because pepsi has gotta go out! she said "no pepsi is dead remember! "no i just picked him up" i said! my mum searched the house thinking that i had pepsi mistaken for petal, she went downstairs and saw petal sitting on the patio outside! in the morning she told me that pepsi must have visited me in the night for a last cuddle! i believe her! this just shows how close owners can be to their pets! thanx for listening!
