This cafe is located about 20 minutes from downtown Pittsburgh pa, The cafe is located at 946 Western avenue. Originally, this was built as a single family home in the 1950's. Cafe Victoria is now a combination cafe and antique shop. On the second and third floors people have seen specters of an old women and a cat-sometimes together, sometimes separately.

On the first floor, staff and diners have repeatedly seen a middle-aged man in 19th century clothes, without a hat, who in daytime strolls outside, moving from the rear courtyard along the side of the house, up the stairs to the side door-where he disappears. In the evening the same man is seen walking in the front hall between the dining room and the front doors.

In the dining room, the staff has experienced repeated poltergeist activity: After preparing the table place settings and leaving the room, they return to find the knives and forks placed in the shape of an 'X', with one crossed over the other. Nobody else is in the building, and the doors are locked.

As if that's not enough supernatural commotion for a structure, the mischievous laughter of children is frequently heard throughout the floors, and in the pantry just beyond the dining room, several people have heard a male voice call them by name when no one else was in the building.

This house is one of several houses that are on the "Spirits of Old Alleghney" tour every Halloween in October. If you like a good ghost story, this is the tour for you! If you would like further information on this or another Pittsburgh Ghost Story- Contact me at scech@atc-pa.com
