My story starts long before I was born. A great evil came into the world. Something so old that it had no fear and also was a great threat to mankind.

I'm sure this thing has existed for milleniums, and seeing how Hamilton is a hotbed of psychic energy, I can understand why it was so attracted to it.

My contact with this being started while I was in my final year at university. My fiance and I had dabbled in a great deal of the magical not so dark arts. He tended to attract the more sinister of entities and unfortunately I could communicate with them.

We had tried and succeed in getting rid of the nasty entities that tended to follow us around. The stupidest part is, we thought we were good at it.

A friend from school had been experiencing some very strange and unnerving activity in her basement apartment. The temperature from one room to the next dropped significantly. I'm talking by at least 5 degrees. She always felt that something was watching her and she couldn't sleep.

Well what do my Fiance and I do - The dynamic duo to the rescue. We'll get rid of that for you. Well it worked! Like a charm even. The wee beasty decided it was much more fun to have someone it could talk to.

Now to clarify, there was no verbal communication persay, but I am an adept practitioner of automatic handwriting. That's where it began. It developed into a direct psychic link that influenced my thoughts and my actions. This thing convinced me that it was the lost soul of a still born baby that had been buried 20 miles away and I needed to take it home. Eventually it materialized and we saw it for its true form a short, jet black coloured, bald imp of sorts. Nasty little critter!

Once we knew what it truly was we were better armed for the battle that ensued. We tried the traditional method to repel demons and nasty critters - Salt - Nothing. He laughed. Eventually we had to use Holy water. I know it's very Transyvania, but it was the only thing that would stop it from entering a room.

Before we found the holy water solution, we spent a dreadful night of horror and sleeplessness. My Fiance and I were studying for a midterm and decided for safety reasons, we should sleep in shifts. I had just finished my sleep shift and was standing watch. My fiance was sleeping soundly, when I decided to venture to the bathroom. To get to the bathroom I had to pass this spare room that we never used. It only contained a table but no chairs and it always gave me the creeps. As I walked past it, I saw movement in the corner of the room. On closer inspection, I saw my fiance in the corner fighting a 6 foot tall being. It was trying to force it's body to merge with his. My fiance, however, was still sleeping in the bedroom and so what I was seeing was a projection.

Well I raced back to the bedroom to find him thrashing and wimpering with pain. I quickly woke him up, as he awoke I heard the voice of a older man say to me - "Be Careful! It wants a baby!" The warning raced through me as I realised its true purpose - to be brought into the world as a human.

This thing never left us while we lived in that apartment. When we moved out we took special precautions to ensure that it didn't and couldn't follow us.

I still get the feeling that its out there searching for me and I pray that it never finds me.
