Hello, my name is Tyler and I have always believed in God, Angels, and Ghosts. I have lived in all kinds of places: cities, towns, and the country. I have mostly all my life believed in Ghosts.
The time I became a true believer was when I lived in Lake Placid, New York. It is a small town I was very young like 7 years old, but I remember it very vividly. I lived on a street called Greenwood street. There was this skyscraper across the street for elderly people. An old hotel was next to it. Me and my friend always liked to play detective.
I decided to take a first step to being a real detective. We decided to find out what the wreckage was. Was it hotel or a hospital. We learned with the information that it was a hotel. We found a picture of the outside of the place and a negative of a room with a strange man standing in it. This wasn't really hard to believe that we found a picture because the place was now used as a dump. The thing we were amazed at was that it was a picture of the place when it was in business.
At the dump there was an old door way back by some old stairways. This area was the basement of whatever the old place was. We knew the door went to a long hallway and at the end was another door. We did not know where that door led. We were always afraid to go in there. Actually it wasn't until a year ago when we finally went in. We never went to the back door though, but anyway back to the story.
We were playing hide in seek with our friend Robert. By the way my friend who was with me was named Shane. So me and Shane were playing hide and seek with our friend Robert and his sister (Meagan). I hid on the trail leading to the dump. I saw Robert (the finder) so I started running up the trail I got to the end of the trail which was the starting of the dump and I looked across the dump to the door and saw a blue light which looked as big as a candle flame. It was moving like somebody holding a candle, but all I saw was the blue light or flame. I started running away. I glanced back one last time and saw it had gotten closer and looked a little bigger when wham it just disappeared. I have always remembered that all my life.
The next thing that was scary is one of my friends ran up and said "Tyler! Last night I saw and old lady at the abandoned hotel holding a candle with a blue flame!" I almost dropped dead.
So the next time your visiting near Lake Placid, New York stop by Greenwood street. My friend Shane still lives there, but he moved to a different street. I live in Dannemora now, but if you go to the skyscraper and look across the street you'll see my old hoes and behind it a little hut. My house was in the front and the hut in the back was Shane's. When you go by the skyscraper take a look at the abandoned hotel (dump).
