Talking to a Ghost

We had all gathered at my sister"s home for a family reunion. Her home was supposed to be haunted, but I was skeptical. Strange things began to happen -- ash trays flew off tables and broke, lights came on while we were where we could see the lightswitches (and no one was near them), even toilet paper unrolling across the bathroom in mid-air. (That really shook my cousin up who was in the bathroom at the time -- she came running out with her pants around her feet!)

Well, we went to bed. On our nightstand was one of the "touch" lamps. My husband was sitting next to it, and suddenly it went on and off. I accused him of doing that to tease me. But he said no, and said for me to come over and watch him if I didn"t believe him.

Well, I hollered for my sister. She came in and said that the lamp probably had a short in it and would come on and off if you just bumped against the table. She banged the table into the wall, and nothing happened.

So I told the ghost Reesa (that"s her name) to turn to light on and off to prove to my sister that she (Reesa) was there. Well, the light blinked on and off! My husband and my sister were both shocked. So, then I said "Thank you, Reesa, I appreciate it." The light blinked off and on again! My husband and sister were really shocked at that. Then I said that Reesa just appreciated being treated politely, and to that remark the lamp blinked off and on again.

I fell asleep after that, and my husband and sister set up in the room talking. They told me that after I went to sleep the light never blinked again.
