Presence in our Home

I would like to share this story about a home I lived in in 1983. It was an early 1900's home which my husband and I shared with a male roommate.
The first thing I noticed about the house was the inability to heat it, no matter what. The woodstove and electric baseboard heaters could be running full throttle, and the home would not warm up. It was fairly well insulated and not drafty.
The next thing that gave me chills was a room nicknamed 'The Pink Room' on the main floor. We had intended to use it as a studio, as our roommate was a musician, but after moving in, the putrid pink room had the most foul odor. there were no obvious stains on the carpet, and it didn't smell as if an animal died in the walls or something. The only way I can describe it is evil. Something I had never smelled before and never wanted to again.
The next occurences happened to our roommate's friend and I. We had an l-shaped staircase that led upstairs and went over the bathroom. Several times on different dates our friend and I, seperately, heard footsteps going up or down the stairs when there was no one else in the house.
We had an upstairs bedroom that was not used other than for our Apple computer. There was always a breeze in the room, even with all windows and doors shut. It came out of the closet and into the room. We checked all corners of the room for drafts, around the windows, and everything, and there was no explanation for where the breeze came from.
Our roommate lived in the upstairs bedroom at the opposite end of the hall from ours. On several occasions he had a sensation of someone else being in the room with him, and sometimes felt something pass him, like a gentle flutter caused from movement.
We only lived in the house for 4 months. I have often wanted to go back there
and see if any other residents had had the same experiences, but didn't want to
be ridiculed.......
