Pinned Down by the Devil

I have submitted several stories about the "Childish Ghost" I have living in my house. This occurred several years before she came, but even if the ghost was in our house at the time I know it was something stronger and much worse that visited me.
One night several years ago (probably around 1995) I was watching a documentary or TV special about the devil, as strange as that sounds. It had interviewed people that had done research, people who have claimed to see him or be visited by him and the like. It was very interesting and didn't really freak me out even though I was only 12 or so at the time and a little afraid of the bad things in the spirit world thanks to ouiji board and "Bloody Mary" stories.
As I was sleeping, I had a horrible nightmare. Actually, it just seemed to be my mind's recreation of one of the stories related on the TV show where a man was asleep in his room and awoke to find a black figure with red eyes standing next to him. A black haze came from the heating vents and filled his room and he was choking as the figure laughed. I woke up suddenly to find that I couldn't move. I looked around frantically and though the blinds were open with the streetlight pouring in, the room became black and then almost faded to red. There was a presence in the room so thick and so evil I could not breathe or scream. I felt as if I was being pressed down and my entire body held to the bed. It lasted for about 10 seconds and then suddenly it disappeared.
I didn't sleep the rest of the night and for some reason had forgotten that it
ever occurred (or blocked it from my mind) until I read similar stories on this
website. I thought it was still part of my dream but I know it wasn't because
nothing that strong occurs only in the mind.
