I just wanted to share with you a strange(?) experience that occurred a few months ago.
For about 2 weeks I was "running into" things that were relevant to an ex-love and thought that I should call him and tell him about these things that I knew were of interest to him. But didn't. On a particular Thursday on my way home from work the feeling was getting stronger that I should call him. Being in a relationship that I didn't want to ruin, I thought better of it and didn't. But...I thought that since I was going to be in the area where he works in 2 days, maybe I would just wait until then, drop by to say hello and leave. There was no real closure to our relationship so I was extremely apprehensive about it, but again thought that this is what I would do. (We had been seeing each other on and off for over 20 years.)
That same (Thursday) night I had a dream that I walk into a dimly lit room (kind of what old bus terminals used to look like 50-60 years ago), and he is sitting on a bench type seat in front of me. I sit down next to him and he says, "So, what's new, kid?" (Kid, is what he always called me). I went on to tell him that I was keeping busy, working, etc. He said "Good" and I proceeded to tell him that I am now in relationship, and he asked if he was good to me. I told him "yes, but you wouldn't like him." He asked why, and I explained that it was because he had long hair, a beard, and was Irish. He just smiled and said "nahhh". The only things I remembered after that was that I was feeling very warm and comfortable, and that there was a door behind him and you could see light around the door as if there was a light on in the next room.
The following day I received a phone call that he had died from a heart attack (and that the dream I had was within an hour of his death).
Other weird things happened after that, but stopped at the time he was cremated.
What do you think about that?
Chris
