Rattling Dishes

This happened to a close friend when we were in high school. At the time, his grandparents on his father's side lived with he and his parents. Grandpa died, and Grandma not long after. Late at night he would hear the sound of footsteps going thru the living room, thru the dining room, and into the kitchen. Then the sound of dishes rattling. After this happened a time or two, he realized that the sound of the footsteps sounded like grandma, who had a gimped hip or leg or something. He told his mother about it one day. She looked at him with an astonished look on her face and said, "My God, don't tell yyour father. I've been hearing the same thing."
