One night I awoke to realize that my husband had not returned from a party that he had went to that night. I looked at the clock and it was two-thirty so of course I got worried.

I went into the dining/kitchen area of our apartment and looked out the window for my husband. It was a warm night so I opened the window and enjoyed the cool breeze. I then went to the fridge to get a drink when I heard a noise below my window. It sounded like a tricycle. I thought it strange being so late (now going on three in the morning) so I looked out the window to see who was out there; but when I got to the window there was no one out there and the noise had stopped.

I figured I was probably hearing things so I turned to finish pouring my drink when I heard it again, louder, and this time I heard a child's giggle. Once again I went to the window but as before as soon as I reached the window the noise stopped. I knew that I was not just hearing things. I walked away from the window and as soon as I did I heard it again, louder, like a child riding a tricycle and giggling, but no one was there when I looked out the window.

I got goose bumps and was freaking out at this point so I shut the window and latched it and at the same time my door opened. I yelled but had no reason for concern when I saw that it was only my husband. I asked if he saw any one outside or any kids outside on a tricycle. He just looked at me like I was crazy and reminded me what time it was. The next day I walked around the apartment building and didn't see a tricycle anywhere. I asked the lady on the first floor who was the only one in the building who had a child young enough for a trike if they had one and she said "no" they only had a big wheel bike for their child.

What a creepy incident!! It wasn't the only creepy incident I had, though, during the time I lived there in the "Old School House".
