My Brother's Spirit

My brother was hit by a truck & killed seven years ago in front of our house. Ever since, we have had strange things have happened in our home. All the women in our family are sensitive to spirits anyway, so we have never thought it odd, but other people.....

The whole series of event began about two weeks after his death. I was asleep in the family room, and woke up for no reason. As I sat there with my eyes wide open, the door to my brother's bedroom swung open. (Odd, since my father had locked it.) Then I heard a little pitter-patter of feet pass by, and the bathroom door opened & shut. A couple of minutes later, the entire sequence repeated in reverse order, as if he was headed back to bed. When I checked his bedroom door, it was still locked.

From then on, his toys would appear in the darndest places, light bulbs would pop way too often, always accompanied by chills for my mother & myself, and the phone would ring, but when answered, there was only a dial tone.

This has continued for the past seven years. Our next door neighbors know of it, & accept it as pretty natural also. However, a new family had moved across the street, and had two daughters who are the same age my sisters were when my brother died. The daughters would play with someone their parents couldn't see, and light bulbs would pop & the phone would ring, just like at my house.

Meanwhile, all was quiet at home. The people finally had enough & moved out, but not without having the house excorcised. Just before they left, they told our next door neighbor their story, and she very calmly said "Well you should have just told us. We could have come and told him to go home. He was just confused, and went to the wrong house."

So, all is back to "normal" at my parent's house. He is home again, & Mom can't buy enough light bulbs.
