A friend of mine was called to the house of one of her girl- friends one night, as her little girl was sick with a very high fever. The little girl's mother was staying there in the house that belonged to her father and grandmother. Her grandma had died about three weeks prior, and had lived on the second floor. That night, as the little girl lay there burning up, and breathing very hard, they heard the door to the upstairs open. Muffled footsteps were heard coming down the stairs, and the bedroom door opened up. As it opened, a cold presence was felt in the room. It stayed for about five minutes, and then it left. The door closed by itself, and the muffled footsteps were heard going back up the stairs. The upstairs door was heard closing, and they turned their attention back to the little girl. She yawned, and looked up at her mother and said "Great Grandma said I'd be all better soon". They felt her forehead, and the fever had broke, and her breathing returned to normal. The next day, the little girl was up and playing as if nothing had happened. She never did remember her great grandmother paying her a visit that night.
