Knock, Knock

For some time now, there have been strange occurrences in my house.

To me, this doesn't make sense because my family is the only who has lived in it since it was built. Nobody else in my family has felt any malice except for me. The first thing that ever happened was when was about 12 years old. I was sleeping in my bed, which is right next to the closet. I would wake up and hear knocking on the closet door. I know that I wasn't imagining this because whenever I would hear this, I wouldn't be able to get back to sleep.

So here I was, Squeezing my eyes shut, when another knocking would come anywhere from one to two hours later. This stopped when I turned thirteen. For the next three years, nothing happened.

However, just a couple of weeks ago( I'm sixteen now ), I woke up and saw an image of a man radiating blue light right next to my bed. He appeared to be hanging in chains. The stench of urine was present. I screamed and screamed. My mother was just down the hall reading but she didn't hear me. I fell in and out of sleep that night and remember screaming a lot. I remember my mother asking if I had a nightmare but I couldn't talk.

The next day I asked her if she heard me screaming and she said that I only screamed once. Ever since that night, I won't sleep with the door closed. I also won't stay in my house alone. I will sometimes see things out of the corner of my eye and always feel watched. When my parents leave to go somewhere, I go over to my boyfriend's house because I am sure that something terrible will happen if I'm left alone. The strange thing is that no one else has felt anything strange.

Needless to say, I am counting the months until I can go to college.

Why am I seeing and hearing these things?
