It Works Sometimes

I lived in Austin Texas all of my life and ever since I was a kid I heard of these tracks and always wanted to see them for myself but for some reason or another I could never find them. Until last October in 1998 just before Halloween. Some coworkers and I were talking about ghost and ghost stories just to get in the mood of the month. I mentioned the story of the tracks and how I could never find the right place. Just then my friend said "Oh they're on Shane and Mission Road" as if everyone knew that! So a lot of us planned to go on Friday after work around midnight when we got off. When it came down to it only me and this one girl who determined as much I was were the only two on the way to San Antonio that night. We had directions that were easy to follow and found the spot in no time at all.
When we first got there we were reassured that it was the right
spot because a car was creeping slowly over tracks with only its parking
lights on. We were both a little nervous but decided if we were going to
do this we were going to do this right, so we jump out of the car as
soon as the other person left. We wiped down the back of her car with a
shirt as good as we could just in case of any extra fingerprints. I busted
out this huge bottle of baby powder that we picked up on the way there
and dumped all over the back, caking her car in powered. Next we
stopped about 30 or so feet from the tracks, turned off all the lights,
rolled down the windows and waited, but there was only a second of
waiting before we started rolling. We rolled across the tracks and
stopped a little ways down. She looked at me and said "Go check it out!"
so I got to the back of the car and excepted to see, if it worked, a
mess of hand prints in the powder. I was saw nothing at first and then
she got out of the car and saw nothing either. We looked at each other
like we had just been had. Leaving kind of disappointed I asked her to
pull over again so I can make that we didn't miss anything. This time I
noticed half a hand print on the lower left side of the car! I excitedly
called her to the back of the car. See saw the print and accused me of
trying scare her. So I asked to go over the tracks again but these time
we both get out and inspect the car. We did again and got out. One full
hand print was smacked the center of her trunk I put my own hand next
to it to compare the size it was clearly the size of a small child. We
were starting to feel brave so again over the tracks, this time it
looked like someone had taken there four fingers from one hand ran
straight across the entire trunk taking off all the powder. We did it
about five times each time we got one new print. Around the sixth time
we stopped getting pushed across and no more prints, I guess we wore out
our welcome. Since then I have brought two different sets of friends to
the track to show them but with no luck at all...
