I Owned a 1982 VW hand me down from my husband. I wanted a pretty display of berries and greenery for xmas so I went on my hunt, two babies in their car seats, no problem, I found a pretty bush off the side of the road in a very remote place. Pulled my VW Rabbitt close to the side of the road and got out. Well as soon as I shut the door my cars horn went off, now this would not be a surprise to most, but it was to me because the horn did not work the battery was removed and the steering wheel mechanism for the horn was long gone, No Horn ever. It was ripped out long ago. So I hit everything in the steering wheel I could to stop it, it stopped. So on my way I went, stepped out of the car, shut the door, and I started up the road, I reached down to pick at this pretty plant and its berries and "bam" off went the horn. I ran back and if shut off. The tried a 3rd time to pick some more of this pretty plant and it went off again. So I took it as a sign and grabbed what I could of this pretty plant and left. Whelp I put together my display (what I had grabbed), and as soon as my husband came home, he said "it's pretty, but I think those berries are very poison" I blew him off, but he said "really there very bad, if the kids eat them they will die" So I threw out the Xmas decoration and my VW Rabbitt never honked again. I just sold it and in 13 years it only had a honking noise once. I swear that car had not had a horn since 1983 and it was a 1982.
