It happened in my apartment one night. I was in my office at the computer with my back to the door, when I 'felt' something present. This has happened to me before when I was in my 20's but in a different state and a different spirit. Not connected.

Anyway, I turned towards the door and there was a man, weathered looking, perhaps 50 to 60 years old, dressed like a blue collar worker maybe in the 20's or so. He was wearing dark bluish green pants, and a blue denim shirt, I know he wasn't wearing suspenders, so he must have been wearing a belt. He had on a hat, looked like a 'fedora' kind of worn looking. He had small bright blue eyes, small stature, work boots. He just stood there, never said anything, just stood there. He appeared solid, not 'ghostly' looking. But I definitely did not know him, and he definitely did not live in this 2 family house. I sat there looking back at him.

When I blinked my eyes, he was gone. I never saw him again, but he did make himself known either to my cat, Zeus, or to myself. I could hear him walking through the apartment. I could feel him around. I have 2 decorative bird feeders hanging in my living room and no matter where I hung one of them in particular, It would slowly turn to one side, then turn back slowly the other way. (I have on video tape) It is not in front of a door or a window. But would still turn. Though the other one (at the very same time) while being in front of 2 windows, wouldn't move at all.

Sometime after October 31st 1999, I had a different, uncomfortable presence in my office, where I actually had my bed at the time, which is a different story, but I had to do a banishing spell in my apartment, and then also downstairs at my friends, I apparently accidentally banished my friendly ghost as well, accidentally. I miss him, but hope that he has found his way to where he belongs. He hasn't come back, the bird feeder no longer moves.

I am in the process of checking into the ownership of this house in the past and possible news and/or obits to see if I can find out who he might be. I always called him 'Farmer Joe' I don't know if he was, but this town was established as an Agricultural Community in 1669, so who knows.

Living with a ghost is no problem, and can be nice, unless it is one who is malevolent, which is the other story I mentioned earlier.
