Ok, I've been reading these stories for a little bit, and I'm going to go ahead and add one of my own experiences.
When I was younger, about 7 or 8, I was a pretty naive child, I mean, I was quite a sheltered kid, watching TV and going to school was my life. Anyway, on with the story. I was laying in bed one night, and I estimate now that it was about 5 or so in the morning, on a school night.
I sort of half way was awake. I think most people would understand this, because it was more like a conscious sleeping state, almost like a daydream effect...whenever you first begin to start waking yourself up in the morning...its an especially slow process for me. I could sleep through an Atomic bomb blast. Well, I laid there for about 10 minutes and I was awake enough to hear my mom in the kitchen making breakfast (the kitchen is across the dining room and my room has an small walkway into my room) and my brother was at the table already starting on his breakfast. I could hear them both talking. My dad works at the post office and leaves about 2 in the morning.
I was laying in bed just thinking about random things, and I started to feel this weird presence...you know, like someone's watching you or something like that. Well, someone, or something sat at the foot of my bed. I was freaking out inside, but I didn't move a muscle. While this was all happening, I wanted to open my eyes, but I was quite afraid to. about 5 minutes (that felt like 5 hours!) later, it got up, and i think it stared at me some more because I still had that eerie feeling. As soon as I started to feel like it was going away, I got up enough courage to open my eyes and look to see what it was.
When I looked up, all I saw was a shadow walking into the living room, which I could easily see through the same doorway from my beds position. I immediately got up and asked my mom if she had come and sat on my bed, and she said "no" and asked me why. and I told her what happened. She got kind of a shocked look on her face...it's harder than that to describe, but that's as close as I can get.
Since then a few other weird things have happened, but that one stands out the most to me. To this day,
my mother and I believe something is in this house, but it hasn't hurt us
yet, so I guess whatever it is, its not wanting to hurt us. By the way, I've
since moved out of my old bedroom (which is now the computer room I'm in now)
and into the "living room" because its a lot bigger. I still hate to come in
here, especially at night, because I always get the feeling like something
else is in here.
