It happened about 4 years ago when we were both 10.(we are 14 now) Our boy scout troop had gone down to camp Currier for a camping trip. On the 2nd night the lead scout master told us a story about a girl named Mable.
Around 1930 James Currier's daughter (who is Mable) fell in love with a black farmhand. James wouldn't allow this and fired the farmhand and forbade his daughter to see him. One weekend Mable told her father that she was going with some friends to spend the weekend in Memphis TN. She actually was going to see the farm hand. When someone told James that she had secretly gone to see the farmhand he became enraged. In the heat of the moment he went to the farmhands house and killed him and his daughter. The story says that he cut Mable's Head off and buried it on the west side of the camp and her body on the east side. She is known to be seen to be walking the camp crying looking for her head.
At first we were all yeah right skeptic and didn't believe him. Most of us just shrugged it off and went to bed. Later on I (Justin) was awakened by my good friend Wally( he hit me as hard as he could on my back) he was white as a sheet and was really shaken up. He told me to listen. What I heard were the faint sobs of a human being. Immediately I thought it was one of our scout members having some fun but it would skip around from left to right from closer to farther and it was echoing. We got out of the tent to see who it was and what we saw horrified us. It was a headless female figure slowly walking through the woods. Then she just disappeared into the darkness.
Needless to say WE HAVEN'T BEEN BACK SINCE.
