Growing up in Northern California, my family and I would visit my dad's mother in Southern California about twice a year. She lived in a one story house that her and my grandfather built on their vegetable ranch in the late 30's. For some reason the house always gave me the creeps. My father's brother had been killed in a car accident shortly after he and my mother were married and my grandmother had many pictures of him throughout the house. As things turned out, I was always the one who had to sleep in my uncles old room when we would visit. It was a large room and seemed to always be much colder than the rest of the house regardless of the weather outside. The room was also very damp. This seemed strange because none of the other rooms had this problem. My grandmother even had to have the room painted a couple of times due to mold on the walls. We could never find the source of the moisture.

Anyway, once while I was 12 years old, I happened to be at the house alone just as it was starting to get dark outside. I went to get something from my uncle's old room where I was staying. I walked down the hallway towards the room and as I got closer, the hall became much cooler [this was strange because it was usually limited to inside the room]. The door to the room was open and as soon as I walked in and turned on the light, a picture of my uncle on the desk across the room fell FORWARD so that it was face-down on the top of the desk. It was one of those picture frames with a flap on the back that it leans back on to support it. All of the windows were closed and there was no explanation for how it could have fell forward. I went to the other side of the house and never told my family about it. My grandmother has since passed away and the house is rented. Recently I was talking about the house with my family and they all said how they have always felt uneasy in the house & had their own experiences there.
