Ball of Light

My house is surrounded by woods and especially behind me there is about 20 acres of woods. Unfortunately a developer will be working on that soon. My son has found arrowheads near the creek back there and also old trees are bent in peculiar ways. A friend of mine told me that the Indians used to do that to point to paths for hunting etc.

One late summer night I awoke from the sound of scratching in the wall. I didn't turn on the light but got up to bang on the wall thinking it might be a mouse trying to start a nest. A large window faces the woods and an old worn deer path - immediately a ball of light, the size of a softball and about 5 feet off the ground, shot up the path and silently "crashed" into the house . When it did, sparks of light spread out and then faded. I was in awe - and felt not afraid.

Of course I went out and checked the house. My logic mind said that it must be a firecracker or rocket , even though I heard nothing. Not a scorch or scratch was on the house.

Can anyone tell me about the ball of light?. I feel mine might be some kind of energy from an Indian Spirit. The scratching noise hasn't been back, but I do get alot of lost dogs or hurt animals at my door, since this happened.
