Another Ouija Story
From: Anonymous Story type: Ghost Location: Princeton, NJ Source: Form Submission
I know what you're thinking - not another Ouiji story. But trust me, this one is really different. I never heard or seen anything like this before. When I was in college I had an interesting group of friends. We all believed in the supernatural, but in different ways and on different levels.
Our click consisted of the following, Jim, who loved horor films, not to get sacred, but because he loved the special effects and the gore. Wendy, very into candles, and the "power" they possesed. Adam and Andrew, a set of twins (a whole story in themselves), besides the usual connections that twins have, one had the ability to read Auras and the other an uncanny ability to interpret dreams and know everything about you the first time he would meet you (don't ask me how, they never told me). And myself. I was always interested and anything with the powers of the mind. So I did a lot of research on hypnoysis and even got it down to actually doing hypnosis.
One night we were together and finding it a strange coincdence that it was Friday the 13th. Yeah so, just another day, and a title of a series of bad films. But to us is was a day that we'll never look at the same. Jim thought it would be fun to pull out the Ouiji board and see what it would happened. We all agreed, but Andrew. He knew it was a bad idea from the start. But did we listen - No! Jim and Wendy sat Indian style, facing eachother. They put the board on top of their laps and placed their first 2 fingers of each hand in the needle. They asked if there was anyone there who wanted to talk to them. An older man talked to us for quite some time. We found out that he was there watching over his granddaughter who was a student here and was living in that dorm. He gave us the room number, 221. Adam ran down the hall to 221 hoping to get the girl that lived in that room, but that room was a hall closet. By the time Adam came back, the old man left us.
We thought that was a little weird, but we didn't think anything of it. So Jim got up and I took his place on the board. I need to add that I've only done this a couple times when I was little. I didn't know too much of the "signs" or the "meanings" of the Ouiji. But I learned very quickly. Wendy ask if there was anyone there who wanted to talk us. There was no response. She asked a couple more times - nothing. She told me to ask, and I did. The needle more very quickly to YES. I asked its name. We got jiberish. A bunch of letters that made no sense. We asked a few more questions and more junk. Adam got the idea to ask questions in different languages. Adam and Andrew were Hunagrian. So they knew a little from what they picked up from their parents. Nothing - more jiberish. I am Brazilian and Ukrainian and fluent in both languages. Nothing - even more jiberish. Jim and Wendy didn't know anything besides English.
We thought we were getting nowhere. We thought it was me. They thought I didn't have the "connection" that they did. So this time Adam sat down at the board with Wendy. I went and sat down on the chair directly facing Adam. When they placed their fingers on the needle it immediatly began to move. It clearly spelled out BRING HER BACK. We were confused. We asked who. I just spelled out BRING HER BACK again. I sat more confused than anyone. They were the experts. But then it dawned on me that it ment me. I wispered to Andrew if it ment me. No one else could've heard me. Espicially neither Adam nor Wendy. But after I asked, the needle quickly moved to YES. Wendy then asked why. We got jiberish again. Jim then noticed that it never was trying to spell anything. The needle was moving in the infinitly symbol. I don't know if you know, but I didn't. I was told that when the needle moves in, what looks like a sideways 8, the infinity symbol, the spirit is drawing energy and is getting stronger. That was all that I knew.
Well - I found out that the spirit has to draw it's energy from somewhere. At this time it was me. Jim said in a calm, but yet intense voice "infinity symbol". The needle began to move a quicker everytime it completed a rotation. It was slowly, but surely incresting it's rate. Everyone was starting to get jumpy, but me. I was calm. I watched the needle flowing across the board. I didn't think anything of it. I was very relaxed. Adam, still at the board, looked at me and said "O my God!" Jim ran up to me and grabbed my face. He said I was burning up and my face was beet red. I must have had a temperature of at least 101. I must add that I wasn't sick. I was in perfect health. Everyone was hysterical at this point, but me. I was in awe at how the needle kept increasing speed. Adam yelled we have to stop this thing, meaning the needle. I said "no". I don't know why I said it. I just did. But they knew better. Wendy and Adam pulled their fingers off the needle off at the same time and the needle went flying off the board and across the room. Adam quickly grabbed the needle, turned it upside down, swiped it across the board. He said that will prevent that spirit to ever return to that board or something like that.
Right after Adam swiped the
board I felt out of breathe. I started panting. I felt like I just finished running a
marathon. I couldn't catch my breath. After a few minutes I began to breathe properly and
I was back to "normal". I wasn't effected physically from anything, but I was
mentally. I really didn't understand everything that went on. But I do know two things. I
can never look at Friday the 13th or the infinity sign the same way again. Ever since that
experience I have never touched to came near an Ouija board again.
