First a short history on the Sullivans. The five Sullivan Brothers names were George, Francis, Joseph, Madison, Albert The were all stationed onboard USS Juneau (CL-52). All five were lost during the battle of Guadalcanal on November 13, 1942 when the USS Juneau (CL-52)was sank.

Well on April 19, 1997 the ship USS The Sullivans (DDG-68)wqhich is an Arleigh Burke class Destroyer was commishioned I was stationed on the ship a few years later but we were out to sea off the coast of Florida and I couldn't sleep one night so I went on the Forecastle to get some air. While I was there I happened to look up at the pilot house and on the Bridge wing I saw 2 sailors in very old uniforms standing there. They appeared to be just looking out to sea. Well I just stood there for about what i think was 5 minutes then they just vanished into thin air.. Was it the Sullivan Brothers? from the pictures ive seen of them yes it was.
