Really Freaky

This is a true story. My uncle Tom died two months ago. He was killed in a car accident. He kept a journal and my aunt found it with the last two journal entries being really freaky. It says that on July 8th my uncle answered the door and a man wearing a suit was there carrying a piece of metal with a red button and a briefcase. The man told him that if he pressed the button, my uncle would get ten thousand dollars and a somewhere a murderer will die. My uncle said that he shut the door and went back to what he was doing. The June 9th entry says that the man came back and offered him the same deal. This time he opened the briefcase to show the money. My uncle thought it couldn't hurt to do it if he had a possibility that he would get ten thousand dollars for free. And even if the thing about the murderer was true (which he thought was a loud of B.S.) then it would actually be a good thing.

So, he pushed the button and took the money. He thought it was weird that, when the man was leaving and my uncle asked him where he was going if there was no car or anything outside, that the man answered he was going to show the button to somebody else. When he died my aunt found the briefcase buried in the closet with the ten thousand dollars in it. She notified the police and they tried to find the guy but they never did. The freaky part is, if my uncle hadn't made this all up, we think it's a chain. If you push the button, that makes you a murderer, and the next guy kills you when he pushes it. I feel really bad for my uncle. I know I would've done the same thing. But I don't know what to believe.
