My Mother's Goodbye

My mother passed away in October of 1996 after having battled with her colon cancer for more than two years. I saw her three days prior to her death and when she died it left a great void. I cried a lot and needed to be comforted. It seemed the more the time went by, the more I missed her. Anyways, one night she came to see me in a dream. Now this was no ordinary dream. It was one of those dreams in which the deceased communicate with the living. There is a big difference between a dream such as this one and an ordinary dream! Remember that I was very sad. In the dream, my mother appeared to me in white. She had a long white robe on and looked like an angel. She told me, and it was her voice, " Oh Caroline! Heaven is such a beautiful place! I just wanted you to know that Heaven is such a beautiful place and how happy I am here! " After that, she left. I woke up feeling so comforted. It was exactly what I needed at the time.
