I was in the eight grade the first time my mother got sick, she was never late wakeing me and my sister up for school. so I found it very strange the first time that she was late wakeing us up, in fact we had to wake her up. when we finally got her to wake up, she was acting very strange. her words were slurred and she acted like she had no idea where she was.
she finally made me get on the school bus and assured us that she was okay. I worried about her from that day on, because we had no idea what had made her act like that.
a year or so later, I had gone to bed at mu usual time and was sleeping very sound when I heard someone say get up, and it almost felt like someone had shaken me to get me awake. when I raised up in my bed I heard a strange noise, I thought that it was my mother in the bathroom getting sick.
but when I found her, she was on the couch haveing a seizure, she was as pale as our white wall and her nails were very blue. I had never seen anyone haveing a seizure before, so I had no idea what to do. we called 911 and they got her to the hospital.
a few years later, my sister and I decided to stay home from school. we pretended to be sick, dont ask me why , but we stayed home. about an hour after our school bus ran, my sister ran into our room shouting that mama had another seizure. I ran into the liveing room and found her face down in a puddle of blood. we called for help again and this time the doctors were able to diagnoise her as an epileptic. I am so thankful that we were home that day when our mother got sick, im scared to think about what could have happened if we had not been there.
and thats not all, ever time that my mother has gotten sick, someone has always been there with her. she has never been alone, even though she was supposed to have been. I believe that she has a very good guardian angel looking out for her. and I believe they watch so closely over her because she is always going that extra mile to help someone elese.whether she feels like it or not shes always there when you need her.
