To Let Me Know She's There

Eight years ago my grandmother passed away from cancer. My grandma and I were very close and when she passed I was devastated. A few months after her death I lost a sliver earring that had belonged to her. I was sure it was somewhere in my room and I looked high and low, under my bed, in my bed, under my dresser, everywhere, and nothing. I still had one of the earrings and so I put it my jewelry box where it could remain safe. That night I started to cry because the earrings had so much sentimental value and I just couldn't believe I could've been so careless. So I prayed to my grandma and asked her to help me find the earring the next day.
The next morning while I was laying in bed just waking up, I felt the sunshine on my face and I slowly began to open my eyes. I saw the sun catch something in the middle of my floor. When I looked to see what it was, there was the other
earring sitting perfectly in the middle of the floor. I thought maybe it was the
earring that I didn't lose and when I looked in my jewelry box, there was the other
earring. I knew my grandma had something to do with it because I had looked everywhere
in my room, especially on the floor. And I don't think my grandma did this for me just so that I could have the
earring. I think this was her way of letting me know she was still there and that she heard me.
