Papa, You Saved Me

Papa, you saved me! (Angel story) When I was younger and had just started to ride a two wheeled bicycle, my parents decided that we would go for a little ride. Behind my house, and around the block, there was this fairly steep hill, with fences (from the backyards) lining the bottom. Also at the bottom of this hill, there was a playground. My dad rode down the hill, then I was to go, and then my mom was going to wait for me to reach the bottom before she went. I started riding down, and everything was good, until I tried to use my (pedal) breaks. They were stuck! I was riding down, heading for the fences at the bottom at such an angle that if I hit, I would be sure to do some serious damage to my back or neck. I hit the fence, not that hard tho, and didn't even cry, until my dad came around and started to yell at me, for
of course, he was scared. I left with a few scraped knuckles and a pretty bent up bike. My mom swears to this day, that my dear Papa, who had pasted away, lifted up the back of my bike, in such a way that I wouldn't get that hurt. I love you, Papa!
