Thank God for Angels!

Yes! It was the day I was waiting for, the day of freedom ---my high school graduation. After the ceremonies, I decided to "celebrate" on this dark warm summer night with a group of fellow graduates for a party around a bonfire. We talked and laughed and dreamed of the future and college. It was getting late and it was way past my curfew. I knew my parents would NOT be happy and I was at least 20 minutes away from home. Fortunately, I had my parent's car with V6 power---I could fly home.
Needless to say, I was exceeding the speed limit. My husband says I was probably doing more than 85 mph but hey, the speedometer only goes up to 85 mph so that's the speed I was going. The night was so dark that evening as I cruised the back-back-back roads of rural Ohio. Then out of the blackness, my headlights caught sight of a telephone pole...the road corkscrewed.
I slammed on the brakes and turned the car severely to the left. Since earlier we had a strong thunderstorm blow through, the road was wet. I hydroplaned!!!! As my car hurled and spun in circles in mid air, out of control, everything became slow motion despite the "accident" happening so fast. As I went around, my headlights briefly caught glimpses of a passing tree, open field, telephone pole,----round and round I went. I remembered thinking...this is how Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz must have felt. I basically knew, I was going to die....so I prayed. The interior of my parent's car began to glow...soft and warm like candlelight. Then, I felt a gentle force surround my out of control car. It was like giant gentle hands grasping a frightened little bird. These "hands" slowed my car down, stopped the spinning and ever so gently, as if my parent's car was a feather, placed it backend first into a ditch. It was so gentle that I didn't even move or get shook within the car as it landed and rested in the ditch.
Then the soft light evaporated as fast as it appeared. I sat there, shaking and took a deep breath to make sure I was still alive. Then I thought, it doesn't matter if I am alive....my parents are going to kill me because I wrecked their car!
The car shut itself off when I landed. I turned the ignition and it restarted and I drove up the steep embankment of the ditch. When I got back on the road, I inspected my parent's car. Not a single scratch! Not even any mud or anything on the car. I somehow drove back to the party and told my friends what happened but NEVER to this day have I told my parents and I am 26. My friends drove me home while my boyfriend drove my parent's car home. This story is PROOF that angels exist!
I am now a social worker who works with abused children.
This vocation was my destiny.
