Prayer answered?

One night, 4 years ago, I was in terrible despair. I had been raped several months prior and was having very serious troubles with depression. That night, I was in so much pain that I didn't want to live and was inconsolable. I was a lapsed Catholic but still had my baptismal candle. I don't know why, but I lit it. I sat on the bed, holding this huge candle, weeping and keening my heart out. I was in the midst of this when suddenly, I felt a warm weight cover my shoulders as if someone had placed a heavy blanket on them or was holding me. I immediately felt a sense of peace and tranquility. I had gone from inconsolable crying and wailing to utter peace in a millisecond. I'm a diehard skeptic and am still a lapsed Catholic. But I do think that something answered me that night and am forever thankful. My only reasoning is that no matter what it was, it was an angel to me.
