I Would Have Been Killed by That Car

I was having a really stressful day at work. At lunch time I went out for a walk. However, my mind was still on everything that was going on at work. I went to cross a very wide, very busy street. As I was about to step off the sidewalk curb, I noticed a woman crossing the stret from the other side. She was looking straight into my eyes. Just before I stepped off the curb, she reached me and said "Watch what you are doing>" I didn't know this woman and her remark startled me. It made me hesitate. At that moment, a speeding car careened around the corner and went right past me. Had she not made that remark to me which caused me to hesitate, I would have been struck by the car. When I turned around a second later to talk to her, she was nowhere to be found. I believe she was an angel sent there to save me and to make me more aware of what I was doing in the future.
