When my mother was about fifteen, she became extremely ill running high fevers. One night my mothers friend, Sally offered to spend the night and help my grandmother take care of my mother.

During the night Sally decided to go and check on my mother. When she entered my mother's room she saw an older woman sitting at the end of the bed. She simply asked the woman if everything was o.k. the woman nodded yes but never said a word. Sally then headed back to bed on the couch.

The presence of the old woman did not seem at all strange to Sally because it was not uncommon for friends that my grandmother worked with to spend the night and ride to work together the next morning.

The next morning when Sally woke up she noticed that the old woman was no longer there. She then asked my grandmother where her friend that spent the night had gone. My grandmother did not know what she was talking about and told Sally that know one spent the night there besides her last night.

Sally then told my grandmother about what she saw during the night. My grandmother asked Sally what the old woman looked like. After Sally was finished describing the old woman my grandmother went into her room and brought out a picture and asked Sally if that was the woman that she saw in my mothers room.

Sally said yes!

My grandmother then told Sally that the woman she saw at the end of my mothers bed was her mom, my mother's grandmother, that died many years before when my mother was just about four years old.

So you see it just shows the power of a grandmothers love!
