I have always been a little uneasy about telling this story. I am looked at as if i am crazy when I tell it. I guess that is why it seems easy to share with you guys. I am still to this day not real sure what happen to me that night, but, it is a night I will never forget.
It was 1996 during spring time. I was in a friends wedding that day and my parents were out of town. I was driving a rental car because I had just had a reck two weeks ago and destroyed my car. After the wedding I was very tired and could not wait to get home. I live in a small town and there are several country roads in the area. Normally when I am in that area I take the counry roads. This time when I left the church I decided to take the highway because I wanted to put as less miles on my rental car as possible. You will see why I am telling you all this at the end of the story.
That night I went to bed as normal. Sometime in the night a voice woke me up. It keep saying my name and I would be half asleep and awake at the same time. It was so weird. I cant explain the state my body was in. The voice would change and be different genders. I guess the whole reason was to wake me up. It did not work at first. I went back to sleep. I guess i just thought I was having some weird dream or something. Here is where it really gets weird. I belive now it must have been around 3 am. I was sleeping on my stomach and I felt someone move the covers off my leg. I have never been so scared in my whole life, even to this day it gives me chills. I just laied there with my eyes closed and i was scared to death. I began to pray that this person would not hurt me. I felt them push on the bed as if they were hovering over my head and all their weight over me. I just keep my eyes closed and keep praying and I did not move. Finally I felt them lift off the bed and I heard them walk out of my room. I must have laid there for a half an hour afraid to move. I never heard another sound. My first thought was to grab the cordless phone and call my aunt who lived just next door. As I began to call her I remimbered I had not heard another sound in the house. I than realized that no one could have been in our house. I turned all the lights on and dozed off and on till morning.
At 8 30 am that morning I got a call from a friend. They were asking me how my friend Brian was doing. I told them I had no idea what they were talking about. They had told me that the day before he was in a real bad car accident and may not make it. He had been in a reck on the same country road I chose not to take. I would have seen the whole thing take place. Brian died sometime that night and I belive now it was him in my house. I belive he had come to say goodbye. I sometimes wish I would have not been so scared and opened my eyes to say good bye.
