The Village Master

My granfather told me this story about a haunting near his home.
My grandfather lived in Guyana for most of his life. He had been working all day, weeding fields, driving cows, and working on cane fields. He was on his way from work and was on his bike.
In Guyana there are villages that people live in. My grandfather lived in #72 Village. There is a a small bridge connecting #71 Village and #72. He was coming to the bridge using the moonlight to guide him. In the moonlight he saw a long shadow that seemed to stretch to the end of #72 Village. When he looked closely he saw that the "feet" of the shadow where right in front of him and the "head" of the shadow was at the other end of the village. That ment that the "thing" casting the shadow was standing right in front of my grandfather. He looked up and saw a very TALL man wearing a black robe standing in front of him. Not only was he very tall but he was very large. His arms were about half a mile long! and is feet, his feet were BIG.
My granfather took off, riding at full speed. He rode and rode and rode. He probably fell a few times, because when he finally got hom he had some cuts on his feet. He began telling my dad what had happened.
My grandfather knew exactly what it was. It is called the Village Master. It comes out every night at midnight and stays out until 7:00 am in the morning. It is the guardian of the village it is facing. Since it was facing #72 village it was the guardian of that village. There is one village master per village. It is said that if you walk under the Village Masters' feet, you die instantly. Thankfully, he did not ride under its feet.
The strange thing is, when he told me this story last week, we saw a shadow walk across the room. I still get the chills when I think about The Village Master.
