Signing Ghost?

Well, I am an American Sign Language (ASL) student. I'm majoring in it. I was sneaking around the college hall one night. I had been at a friends dorm for most of the night, and, I was returning to my room. I stopped because I felt like somone was starring at me. I turned to see a college freshmen looking girl, in her PJ's. She was tattered, and pale, and her hair was knotty and messy. She sttarted to sign something. I didnt catch it, so I akeed her to repeat.

"Help me" "Whats wrong?" "Help me" "What's wrong?" "Please" "Tell me whats wrong" "Help me" "Alright, I'll help you but I need to know whats wrong"

Then I heard a door shut, I turned my head to see who was comming, and when I turned back the girl was gone. I shouted "HELLO!" over and over, I stomped my foot to cause a vibration in the floor. The hall didnt feel cold, or warm, it felt normal. I havent found anything in the annals about a girl dying or anything.

I have no clue why I saw that girl, or if I didnt just imagine it. A few questions pop into my mind if it was real. Why did she appear, how did she die? THey say a ghost only haunts because of unfinnished buisness...What kind of help does she need? How did she know I could sign?
