Lost Spirits

This is a true experience that occured to my sister and I one night, early Summer. My sister and I had just decided to go to bed. We turned out the lights and said "goodnight!" I had no sooner closed my eyes, when I noticed a strange flowery scent looming in the air. I thought nothing of it, assuming it was all in my head, or that it was my sister. All of sudden, my sister freaks out and asks me if I'm still awake. She said that just as she had opened her eyes, she saw a woman floating above her with a little girl by her side. The woman and child seemed to be from another century. She guessed the 18th century. The woman was about 30 or so. The child was very young. Both the woman and child were staring at my sister for some time. The woman would look at her child, and then back at my sister. They said nothing, just watched her.

I jumped out of bed and immediately turned on the lights. The woman and child vanished as the lights went on. I never saw the woman, just smelled her presents. The scent was nothing I had ever smelled before. I remember thinking how odd the scent was. That is, until my sister saw the vision. We went down stairs and had coffee to relax ourselves. When we went back to bed, there was no sign of anything. My sister commented and said that it was as if the woman and chid were looking for someone.

This is not just some silly story made up by a child. This happened about a year ago while I was home from college on a break. My sister is 3 years older than I am.
