The Ghost of 4th Main

I am a senior at a well known boarding school in bucks county pennsylvania. For years I have been hearing stories of the three halls on the forth floor of main dormitory. (Main is devided into 3 dorms, West, Central, and East) Rumour has it that about 90 years ago a girl killed herself in one of the rooms. I have heard from numerous people the stories of 4th East. I have had friends who's books have all shot off thier bookcases at the same time and landed clear across the room.

Another time a friend of mine walked out of her room in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom, and as she opened her door onto the hall, she could hear a shower running. She assumed someone was taking a late shower and thought nothing of it, but as soon as she started to open the bathroom door, the shower shut off. No one was in the bathroom. She of course was very scared, but thought she was imagining things so went to the bathroom anyways. As soon as she left, the shower started again.

Also, there have been many people on the same hall who have opened their doors in the middle of the night, and as soon as they do so, all the lights on the hall turn off, after they shut their doors, the lights turn on again. These 4th floor halls only house about 6 girls and 2 prefects, and all 8 from last year and many from other years say they have seen or heard things.

East was renovated last year, as is no longer "the scary dorn". Now, that reputation belongs to 4th west, where I recently became a prefect. The prefects arrived to school about a week before the rest of the students for training, decorating dorms, etc. I was up late the night before the girls came. I was painting on the walls (we were aloud to paint because it is the last unrenovated dorm in school)

Anyways, I was all alone and it was about 1 am, when i noticed that one of the storage closets was open. I was a little freaked, but nothing i couldn't handle. I pushed it closed, but it didnt quite close all the way so with the end of an oil brush (long, flimsy) I tried to finish the job. Because of the length, it didnt click closed with any force at all, but at the second it finally closed, all the other doors on the hall (some which were locked!!!) clicked and swung about 6 inches open. I ran down stairs where the other prefects were. I have never run so fast in my life. I was terrified.

It seems that the ghost prefers the unrenovated dorms and has moved comfortably on to my hall. I guess I have 7 prefectees instead of 6 now.
