For As Long As I Can Remember

Hello. My name is Kayla and I'm currently 16 years old. For as long as I can remember, I have been surrounded by spirits- or ghosts if you prefer. Now, I wish to relate to you my most prominant experiences.

The first experience I really remember vividly, was when I was three years old. My mother had taken me over to a my friend Keaton's apartment. While mom talked with Keaton's mom, the two of us sat at the top of the stairs, rolling little toy cars and other little toys off the top stair.

We didn't talk much, just threw cars down the stairs- you know, what little kids do to stairs when they're bored. Well, pretty soon, we got bored of that, so Keaton decided he wanted to show me a new video game he been given. So we went into his room. If memory serves me correctly, his room was to the left, his mother's room was to the right, and the bathroom was at the top of the stairs.

Keaton and I sat at his tv and he played his game while I sat watching. His tv was by the door. After a few seconds, I got this urge to look down the hallway, so I turned my head. There, standing in his mother's room, was a man I had never seen before. He was dark- dark hair, black pants, a blood red shirt, and a black vast over black boots. I couldn't see his face properly but I got a mean vibe off of him. He just stared at us for a second, then walked by Keaton's mother's bed and out of my sight.

I kinda shook my head and turned back to the game. After a few seconds, Keaton's mom called him downstairs so we returned to the top stair. He went downstairs and I stayed at the top looking at a stuffed toy snake halfway down the stairs. A few seconds passed and I felt really cold, then I felt two big hands on my back.

As I felt the hands, I was pushed, hard, down the stairs.

Now, I can remember rolling, seeing carpet, ceiling, carpet, ceiling, over and over, but I don't ever remember any pain. It was like I just floated, doing flips, down the stairs. At the landing, I felt like I was caught before I was set gently down- dazed, confused, but unharmed.

I had made no noise- no one had come to check on me. I just sat there for a minute until mom came and told me it was time to go home.
