Why I Still Won't Sleep at My Mom's House

We moved into an older but nice house when I was ten years old and often in the early evening I would catch a glimpse of a dark figure in the same spot in the diningroom. Seemed to be a medium sized man in a trench style tan raincoat and raincap circa 60's. Never really bugged me. Just as I got older it became wierder to me. Also randomly would feel scared or tingle from my thighs to the back of my head in my room. No goosebumps but almost cold. Hard to explain.
When I was 15 it had seemed to stop, not sure when, probably for a good year. So I kind of started to forget about it and by this time I was babysitting my baby sister a lot. She was 3 by this time. I took it as getting olded and wiser. Like that was kid stuff until one day myself and a buddy were in the livingroom and the speakerphone on my desktop phone turned on and dialed a number.
On the second ring an old man answered. I freaked. I went to hang up the phone and had to push the button twice to do so. We ran out. It was definitely not a redial. I told my mom but of course she dismissed it.
A little time goes by, not sure how much, it has been a long time but I know I was still fifteen and my sister 3. We were in my room on my bed. I was patting her belly lightly, she was nearly asleep when I saw her eyes get large. She sat up and pointed up and said " the man scares me." I looked at her pretty stunned but could say nothing. She said it again surprisingly calmly while looking into my eyes. "the man scares me." I tried to be calm, picked her up and walked out of the room.
Still brings tears to my eyes today and I am 30 with little emotion. I told my mom about that. She dismissed it as her imagination. Keep in mind I only had told her about the phone incident up to that time.
Angel figurines bought as gifts helped until we remodeled and they got taken down when I was 17. Then my floor fan turned on by itself and fell over when I was near asleep. I ripped it out of the wall and slept on the couch until I moved out two weeks later at 17. I drew a strong looking angel man and framed it. I make sure it is up every time I go over there still now.
I have now talked to my mom about all of this and she thinks I was in turmoil at these times. Like on the wrong path and that helped it. She says she only feels good spirits like guardians but she acknowledges something.
