I am 18 years old, and I have finally had my first success with an OBE. I have had small attempts before, but nothing like this. I have never gone for so long out of my body. Might I add it was thee worst experience ever.

It happened months ago, I had fallen into a deep sleep but I could feel the tingly, floating sensation. I was floating, up in the corner of my room watching myself sleep. My vision was shifting, fast, side to side as if my eyes couldn't stay still, everything was sepia toned. I sensed something was wrong, and for some strange reason my mothers birds were beside me on my night stand as I looked down. I could hear my own thoughts, racing in my head. i noticed something was wrong with the birds. All I could hear were my thoughts " the birds, something is wrong with the birds, something is wrong, the birds! they are uneasy, the birds!"

I had the worst feeling of fear, my chest was heavy and the shifting worsened. Then I heard a loud slam come from downstairs and something ran up my stairs, it sounded faster than a human can possibly run up some stairs. My thoughts had stopped for a second and instantly I was back in my body before whatever that thing was reached inside my room. I was now back in my body hiding under my blankets as that thing ran straight into my room and onto my bed, I sensed it was squatting, hunched over my body, I could hear the thing breathing/ growling heavily, it sounded mad, and my fear grew more intense, I was so terrified I could not look to see what it was, almost immediately i started praying, " Our father who art in heaven hallowed be thy name...." And so I woke up, praying! literally under my breath, which freaked me out. But I remembered I sleep with my door open and my closet light on and when I awoke my light was off, the door was closed and my blankets were thrown across my room. I yelled for my mom, I was still in shock I was afraid to move. She came in and I asked if she had shut my door and turned off my light, she replied with a confused look on her face "no." and by that point I was crying hysterically. As soon as I calmed myself and fell back asleep I had a demonic nightmare, involving birds.
