Have you ever seen points of light?

I heard that when you see small points of light, directly or with the side of the eye, these are spirits. I sometimes see these points of light, but they always seemed to me more like a strange occurence related to the healt of my eyes; maybe because of the x-ray exposure when we watch tv or because of some blood pressure problems. I say that because I used to see them when I was watching tv or when I get up too fast from the sofa and get a little bit dizzy. And I normally couldn't follow them with the eye, they used to disappear or last only for a second, or move according to my eyes moves.

But the last two times I saw them, they were different. They were brighter, and I could follow them with my eyes, they didn't move according to my eyes moves, but described a straight line in front of me, one time from right to left and the other time, the light came down from the top of my head. And they lasted for more than six seconds.

So, I started wondering to myself: are they really spirits of light? Ghosts? Is the old saying right about these points of light being spirits that some can see? Have you ever seen one?
