Phone Call from the Dead

Well this story is very real. It happened to me when I was about 10 yrs old. To this day I still do not have a logical explanation for it. My mother was a caretaker for elderly people when I was a child. Often I would go with her to their houses while she cleaned and helped them with housework and she also would take them out for errands and what not.
One of her clients I absolutely adored. Her name was Irene. My mom and I just loved her. She was so sweet and grandmotherly to me. Sadly she passed away and I wasn’t able to go to her wake or funeral and that really made me sad because I didn’t have any closure with her.
It was probably about 3 or 4 days after Irene was buried and I was lying in my bed thinking about her and how I missed her. When all of a sudden my answering machine turned on and a voice as loud as could be with some static in the background said “hey all its Irene”.
I jumped out of bed and started screaming to my mother and she also heard it. This was back in the 80’s when there weren’t any digital voice mails so everyone could hear a message. The house phone never rang but the answering machine turned on and the voice was clearly Irene maybe just letting me know she also wanted to say goodbye. Any way it comforted me.
