I Became a Believer

I was having a very hard time in 2005 when I couldn't sleep and wanted so badly to just have a few moments of sleep. I took a full bottle of sleeping pills my doctor prescribed me. I ended up in the ICU at the hospital.

During this time I remember seeing the Paramedics working on me in my bed. It was as if I was just watching someone else though.

Everything went black and all of a sudden I remember seeing such a Beautiful Bright light that was almost blinding. I could see I was in ICU and had tubes down my throat and needles/tubes running from serveral veins.

All of a sudden I saw in the doorway My Grandfather who'd passed away about 5 years before this from a stroke. He looked wonderful and he was holding my son's hand. I lost my son at birth but his twin brother lived. I knew in that moment who he was; he smiled at me and said "Grandpa is taking care of me" and My grandfather smiled and said "Angel my dear go back, we'll be here when it's time, we love you". They turned and walked away and as they walked away the light got dim and I started to feel myself gasp for breath.

I was tied down because when I woke up they were afraid I would pull the breathing tube out of my mouth. I told my parents who were in the room what I saw and just what they were doing.

I became a true believer. I've always known there was a Heaven and there was a God and that Jesus died for me, but this gave me such Happiness and joy and each day I live because I know that in the end when it IS my time I've got a lot of Happiness waiting.
